Englsh: Exegesis should incorporate the basic insights of modern linguistics and literary
studies, without ignoring the older grammarians and rhetoricians. Divergent interpretations

parameters. Responsible exegesis needs a multi-dimensional approach. The contribution

The two most decisive elements in specifying meaning are text and context. Contrary
